Projects the Deputy Commissioner's office is working on for the district.
eDastakar is a digital platform aimed at promoting, empowering and connecting the skilled artisans of District Haripur with wider markets and potential customers. The platform will provide local artisans with an online space to showcase their skills, display and promote handmade products, connect with buyers, and expand their businesses beyond traditional local markets. By bringing Haripur’s traditional crafts and artisan products into the digital marketplace, eDastakar will create new economic opportunities, encourage entrepreneurship, support fair market access and help preserve the district’s rich cultural and artistic heritage. The initiative will ultimately contribute to livelihood enhancement, inclusive economic growth and the promotion of Haripur’s local talent and craftsmanship at national and potentially international levels.
To promote a greener, cleaner and more attractive environment in District Haripur, a Public Park Adoption Initiative is proposed under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Under this initiative, industrialists and private organizations will be encouraged to adopt selected public parks and take responsibility for their development, beautification, landscaping and regular maintenance in coordination with the District Administration. The initiative will facilitate the provision of improved recreational facilities, green spaces, seating areas, walkways, lighting and other community amenities while reducing the maintenance burden on public institutions. Through active participation of the private sector, the initiative aims to transform existing public parks into safe, clean, attractive and sustainable recreational spaces for families and communities, creating a lasting partnership between government, industry and the public.
To ensure convenient and equitable access to land-related services for the people of District Haripur, a Mobile Van Facility is proposed to provide essential land services directly in remote and underserved areas. Equipped with the necessary technology and connected with the CLRMIS, the mobile van will visit different localities on a scheduled basis, enabling citizens to access services such as Fard issuance, mutation-related services, registry verification, and complaint registration without travelling long distances to a Service Delivery Center. The initiative will reduce citizens’ time and travelling costs, improve accessibility and transparency, and bring modern, citizen-centric land services directly to the people at their doorstep.
